HOPE Jr

Overview
A humanoid development project with a separate arm-and-exoskeleton branch of work for LeRobot teleoperation. [S001]
HOPEJr's repository contains two distinct bodies of work. Humanoid holds the full-body development and robot descriptions; Arm contains the newer hand, arm and matching teleoperation exoskeleton work described by Hugging Face contributor Martino Russi. LeRobot recording, training and inference are reported for that arm workflow. They do not establish a reproduced whole-body humanoid. [S001] [S005]

Assembly and use
Order for one documented configuration
The Arm BOM separates robot parts from Homunculus teleoperation parts and lists different power supplies for the arm and hand. It is not a complete full-body robot budget. There is also a motor discrepancy worth resolving before ordering: the Arm README describes a change to STS8215, while the BOM lists SM8512BL for shoulder pitch alongside other Feetech models. We have not resolved which combination matches every current printed part. [S005] [S006]
The Humanoid directory has its own older arm revisions and addenda, including a corrected elbow tendon-pulley design. Mixing those print trays with the separate Arm BOM could lose the configuration boundary the repository structure is trying to preserve. Begin with one directory's design and reconcile its parts list, servo choices and matching control software. [S001] [S006] [S007]
Files present, qualification still open
The archive contains arm and exoskeleton STEP models, printable files and custom PCB Gerbers, BOMs and placement files. The Arm README attributes its solder-free assembly route to those boards, so they remain a sourcing dependency rather than disappearing from the build. We have not fabricated them, assembled the tendon mechanisms or tested the LeRobot integration. [S004] [S005]
An Apache 2.0 license file exists under Humanoid. This review does not extend it automatically to the sibling Arm CAD, boards and code. Clarify that scope alongside the motor discrepancy before committing to a kit or support offer. A current complete delivered arm-and-teleoperation budget remains unknown. [S006] [S008]
Cost
No current, complete configuration-specific build cost has been established for this profile.
