Overview

The Jubilee 10cc Syringe Tool is a syringe extrusion end-effector for gels, pastes and other viscous media. It combines printed and purchased parts and uses the Jubilee-compatible toolchanger-coupler ecosystem. This entry covers the syringe tool; a complete Jubilee motion platform must be considered separately. [1]

Is this for you?

Known limitations
  • CC-BY4 project notice does not automatically clear bought-in/vendor models or entire parent platform.
  • README under USD 150 is historical upstream estimate, not a current complete delivered platform/tool quote.
  • STEP source geometry structure checked; selected SolidWorks part payload has unidentified native format, no fit/flow/calibration or reliability test.

Editorial assessment of bounded source evidence; no runtime, fit, manufacturing or compatibility proof.

Cost

No current, complete configuration-specific build cost has been established for this profile.

Check the shopping list and budget the platform separately

The README links a shopping list and separate Jubilee tool-provisioning page. Those external sources were not inspected in this entry; a complete current reconciled BOM or assembly/configuration route is therefore not claimed. Inspect them before ordering, and match the parts to the exact assembly revision rather than relying on the tool's photograph. [1]

The README reports a unit cost under USD 150. That is an upstream historical tool estimate, not a checked current quote, and it does not include a complete parent motion platform. Fabrication, tools, electronics/interface configuration, delivery and tax need explicit accounting before a first-working budget can be stated. No current complete price was established. [1]

Project notes

Use the assembly source for a bounded inspection

The original 10cc_syringe_tool.STEP was retrieved and independently identity-checked during discovery. Its payload contains actual STEP geometry/assembly structure. That supports inspecting the exchange assembly, not native SolidWorks feature history, fabrication tolerances or successful fit of all purchased components. The sampled native part payload was not fully identified or decoded, so its filename is not offered as native-editability proof. [3]

Begin by matching the selected assembly and fabrication exports to the intended 10cc Luer-lock syringe and mechanism. Purchased-component bodies, motor and belt/lead-screw details need their own source and configuration checks. This review did not establish that every supplied CAD body is original project geometry or independently clear vendor redistribution rights. [1] [3]

Reconcile motor settings and calibration

The source documentation reports 8000 steps/mm at 16× microstepping and 500 at whole steps. These are configuration-specific nominal settings, not measured plunger travel or calibrated volume. Match the actual drive, controller microstepping and syringe before interpreting extrusion commands. A matching coupler does not prove homing, docking, backlash, force limits or reliable material flow. [1]

The project declares CC-BY-4.0. That grant does not automatically cover a separate parent platform, vendor CAD or bought-in hardware; retain those distinctions when investigating reuse. No complete fabrication, controller installation, tool docking, step/volume calibration, extrusion accuracy, material compatibility or reliability test was performed. The useful next step is inspecting the actual assembly and the linked provisioning/parts sources, with those limits explicit. [1] [2] [3]

What we checked

Pinned source and selected artifact structure review only; no dependency installation, upstream build, native CAD/kernel/fit/strength validation, fabrication, wiring, calibration, simulation, powered operation or performance testing. Original archives stay private.
