Overview
TakkArray is a tactile sensor component, not a robot or complete sensing kit. Its preserved source contains a 5×8 array board, supporting Eagle schematics and layouts, a bill of materials, and ATTINY24A firmware for multiplexing the barometric sensors. The repository also holds other TakkTile products, so those files should not be mixed into a TakkArray build without checking their interfaces. [1] [2]
The useful starting point is the pinned TakkArray source tree. Compare its BOM with the board files, then inspect the firmware and the separately linked USB bridge before planning host integration. The README assigns CC BY-SA 3.0 to schematics and layouts and GPLv3 or later to firmware; it does not establish one license for every file in the product line. [1] [2]
We have not fabricated a board, compiled the firmware or calibrated an array. Current parts availability, a complete delivered cost, and compatibility with a particular robot or bridge remain unknown. This entry is a design and code reference for experienced electronics builders, not a verified reproduction guide. [1] [2]

Source files and licenses
Inspectable sensor board designs and firmware give a concrete robotics component reference; a complete current integration and cost remain unverified.
| Layer | Availability / license |
|---|---|
| electronics | available · CC-BY-SA-3.0 README explicitly assigns CC BY-SA to schematics and board layouts. [1] [2] |
| firmware | available · GPL-3.0-or-later README explicitly assigns GPLv3+ to firmware; the repository also contains other product firmware. [1] [2] |
| documentation | available · License not fully assessed README and a TakkArray BOM are available; a separate documentation license was not identified. [1] [2] |
