Overview
C++ shared-memory transport and real-time utilities used by the ICON control framework. [S001]
ICON Shared Memory contains interprocess communication, hardware-module interfaces and real-time utility code. It is for developers building control infrastructure, rather than an application that moves a robot on its own. The README lists shared-memory managers, synchronization primitives, real-time buffers and HAL runtime targets. [S001]

Installation and use
Choose the build route before changing targets
Bazel is the repository's primary build definition. A downstream Bazel project can import the module and link individual transport or hardware-module targets. The alternative CMake files are generated from Bazel; upstream asks contributors to change Bazel targets first and regenerate the CMake output. Editing only the generated files would leave the two routes inconsistent. [S001]
For CMake, the README lists a C++20 compiler, CMake 3.19 or newer, Eigen3, FlatBuffers including flatc, GoogleTest and tl-expected. Its first verification route is a build with BUILD_TESTING=ON followed by ctest. We have not run that sequence, and the library's low-latency design description is not a latency result measured here. [S001]
The snapshot carries Apache-2.0 and has no published stable release in the inspected release list. Select a concrete process layout and host before using it to make control-loop timing commitments. [S002] [S090]
