Overview

This library exposes C++ motor-client messages and protocol handling for IQ Motion Control modules. It provides inspectable packet parsing/encoding and client interfaces rather than a complete platform serial driver. That boundary is the useful starting decision before attempting communication with a motor. [1] [3] [4]

Project notes

Supply the platform interface, not only the client object

The README asks for C++11 and describes adding the library to a C++ project. The selected GenericInterface explicitly has no hardware of its own: GetBytes returns zero, SendNow is empty and received bytes must be supplied through SetRxBytes. Transmit bytes are buffered for the caller to retrieve. Those methods are implementation boundaries, not observed network/serial operation. No motor or transport was connected. [1] [4]

SendPacket constructs a header, payload and CRC footer through SendBytes, which reserves/commits buffer space. Its success return does not aggregate every SendBytes result or acknowledge delivery to hardware. The source also warns against interrupting packet construction with another send call. Inspect buffer status and the platform adapter instead of treating an encoded command as executed motion. [4]

The selected client parser matches message/object identifiers and routes replies. Its header indexing also requires caller-side input validity; this review did not audit every surrounding length check or fuzz malformed messages. Choose the exact motor/client protocol and inspect those boundaries before using replies as control feedback. [3]

The root and selected source notices are MIT. Purchased modules, firmware and external transport dependencies retain their own terms. No C++ build, packet interoperability, input-bound test, device acknowledgement, control loop or physical result was verified. [2]
